We are a Missoula-based Company devoted to helping you reduce energy use that may be costing you hundreds or thousands of dollars every year. Our experience and technology will show you how to get the greatest return on your energy dollars. We will show you where air leaks can be sealed and money can be saved.

Although we know a lot about building science we are not builders. So, if we recommend a contractor who might be helpful to you it will only be because we think he or she is the best person to do the job. There's nothing else in it for us, except, of course, the satisfaction that we provided you with the best service you could get!

One client couldn't understand why their building, less than two years old, was costing thousands of dollars to heat even in a recent mild heating season. Why was their building so leaky?

Our analysis showed why:

In the accompanying photographs you can see part of their building's interior. The left photograph shows detail of a soffit, seemingly well made. On the right, our Fill THE Gap thermographic image shows a dense orange area of the soffit where there is a small amount of effective insulation preventing heat from escaping. But the area in blue and green shows where insulation was never installed properly and warm air is leaking out of the house.

It looks well built... but is it?

Given the best circumstances, we can take revealing pictures of a building before finishing touches are made. This is the point when fixes can be made more easily.

Often, however, building owners are not so lucky. If your building is already built, you are likely living with a problem you don't know how to identify or fix. That's where Fill THE Gap is the expert. Once we show you where the leaks are it is easier to discuss possible fixes. That's a major step toward making your building better.
